Multiscene Skyboxes--Leooroo Rentals
When Ava developed an interest in a home to call her own, she was discouraged by her initial searches through SL. Buying was out of the question. Renting appeared to be too much money for too little--tiny, boxy, often empty, claustrophobic boxes in the sky. Then I recalled seeing Mike's place, and he helped me investigate the Multiscene Skyboxes. They are not only an incredibly reasonable rental, $990 per month, but the cheapest option comes with 14 different easily switchable "homes"--ranging from "hell" to "gothic rp" (complete with cell) to caribbean to modern seaside homes to winter church complete with skating rink. You change your scene with a touch of the rent box, which you can see in the ocean in the banner photo at the top of the page

But what appealed to me the most was the outdoor space, unlike anything I had seen in other skyboxes. My current favourite "Modern" (above) comes with my own beach and little bit of blue ocean sweeping in to shore. There's handsome Cameron helping me enjoy the beach. Each comes with Intan Dance Anywhere and with couple's poses in a variety of locations, in a range of naughtiness that satisfies even Ava. The furniture, security, and decor is included. You can add your own stuff, up to 30 prims. Although I would prefer more prims, they aren't really necessary with careful low-prim purchasing.

Take a look...Ava dares you. Maybe you'll have as much fun in your imaginary home for a cartoon character as Ava has had (winks) in hers!

Was It a Month Ago?

So--about New Year's Eve. Although Ava is not fond of New Year's in RL (except fun non-formal gatherings with good friends), she dressed up and wandered through SL on the night...and none of her friends were around! So she donned her alt and set off again. Ended up meeting a fellow countryman in dress kilt, visited the Titanic ballroom,(with one eye on the lifeboats at all times)which is actually on the huge, safely docked ship, no icebergs in sight. Then on to Midnight Reflections where, strolling on the isolated paths in search of relief from the lag of the crowded dancefloor, she and her campanion fell off a few steep cliffs into the deep ocean below.

Moral of the story:

1. RMS Titanic--Break out your tux and dancing shoes!--well worth a visit, incredible detail, great formal shopping in steerage, no lifejacket needed when securely docked. Walk all the way along the pier and enter at the end just to get a sense of the scale. But if people start waving tearfully at you from the dock...and you seem to be pulling away from them...swim to shore!

2. Midnight Reflections--a crowded, popular place (and not just on special occasions, I understand). Tired of dancing on the little island pods? There are also quiet winding romantic walkways on sheer cliffs with magnificent water views, poses included!

3. 6-inch stiletto heels, SL champagne, and winding walkways on sheer cliffs don't mix!!

A formal gown for free?

I wondered what was available. At xstreetsl.com, I found this slinky red gown for $0 lindens, a gift from QQ Fashion called Siren Red. The flexi layers are satisfyingly swooshy! Now, I saw plenty of gowns in the $500 to $1,000 range....but I can use that $ saved for shoes!

So here stands Ava, all dressed up, waiting for a tux-clad gentleman to sweep her off dancing for New Year's Eve.....or for a romantic stroll on a beach (since in SL, there's no stiletto-stumbling in sand). Or maybe, she's just waiting for a leather-clad ne'er-do-well to drag her off into a dark alley.... Which of these scenarios will happen? I'll have to get back to you.
